Depending on your request we can make the arrangements to have a separate contractor uncover the tank before the pumping truck arrives. Some homeowners choose to expose the tank by hand or they hire someone of their choice prior to our arrival. (Not sure where your septic tank is or how far you will have to dig to expose the tank?)
Once the tank has been properly exposed our driver will determine an appropriate route to access the tank, being careful not to disturb your landscape. If there is no easy access to the tank don't worry, our trucks are equipped with plenty of excess hose to reach your tank.
The driver will remove the lid and place a vacuum hose into the tank and begin pumping. While the tank is being pumped the driver will stir up the tank in order to lift sludge from the bottom of the tank. In addition, our drivers will visually inspect your tank for damages and quality of bacteria in the tank; this will ensure that your tank is in proper working order. If you have had your tank completely exposed our driver will also check the baffles, pull and clean filters, and clear lines from the house to the tank if necessary. The driver may request that you turn on all of the faucets and flush the toilets. This is done to provide extra water for final cleaning and to ensure that your main line is flowing properly.
Once the pumping has been completed the driver will replace the lid and notify you of any concerns about your tank including when your septic tank will need to be pumped again. Be sure and ask our driver to send you a reminder card that will notify you when your tank is ready to be services again.
Don't forget to make the necessary arrangements to have to have your tank recovered. After we have finished pumping your tank we will properly dispose the contents at our fully licensed septic disposal land-spreading site according to the specifications made by the Department of Environmental Protection. Valley View Septic would like to thank you for visiting our website and we hope you will contact us and schedule an appointment to have your tank serviced.
